INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Requirement
for wet riser system
The
wet riser system is required for building where the topmost floor is higher
than 30.5 meter above the fire appliances access level. Wet riser comprises of
duty pump and standby pump set which discharging water into a 150 mm pipe, A
jockey pump is used to maintain pressure in the system. The water supply pipe 150
mm diameter.
Requirement
for breeching inlet installation
4-way
breeching inlet should be located not more than 30 meters from the nearest
external hydrant outlet and not more than 1B meter from fire appliances access.
Requirement
for landing valve installation
Landing
valves are provided on each floor and should comply to M.S.1489: Part 1.
Landing valves are located within fire access lobbies, protected staircase or
other protected lobbies. It is installed not more than 750 mm above ground
level. Any boxes that are to be installed for landing valves must comply with
M.S.1489: Part 1.
